Healing Trauma
Trauma, either recent or in the past, can have a huge impact on how we feel and think on a daily basis.
Dealing with trauma is very important to help us integrate our experience of the trauma in order to move forward from it. Ensuring safety is the first priority of treatment.
Then coming to terms and making sense of what happened.
This needs to happen at whatever pace is safe and healthy for each individual.
Once the body and the mind have integrated their sometimes very different experience of the trauma is it easier for the body to rest and the mind to move on.
If you experience flashbacks or intrusive memories of something awful that happened to you or even just have a sense that something may be bothering you but you don’t know what it is, it may be worth exploring, to free yourself.
